BIO   Christer B started photographing in his early teens. Mainly black and white with long hours in the darkroom. Hang around at the local newspaper UNT in his mid-teens. Eventually, other interests took over.

Resumed photography a few years ago (2020). Now he shoots mainly digital but have lately started to use film as well.

Street, Architecture and People are his favorite photographic genres but he enjoys exploring many facets of photography. Constantly searching.

In Three Cities Photography Christer joyfully collaborates with Jane Dee from Glasgow and Kitty de Jong from Amsterdam.

STATEMENT    My dream was to become a photographer. The day I turned 16, I sent a letter to a photographer in New York that I admired, asking to work as his assistant. He said 'No'. This took me hard and I decided to go for another career. Roughly 45 years later I started photographing again. Now I do it almost everyday.

Photographing people and what we humans create is for me a way to see that we are all quite similar. It gives me hope.  My photography tend to gravitate towards ordinary things and people. To see and capture everyday life makes me understand more about myself and others. My interest in making more abstract images is less easy to understand. Most likely these images tell something about me but so far I do not understand what.

Making images with my camera makes me feel good. And I will continue doing it as long as I can.
